Hey all,

I have looked everywhere and cant seem to find an answer so figured someone may know.

I am new to masking and still figuring it out how it works, I just cant seem to grasp the concept, so bare with me.

When I create a mask, and want the mask to follow my object, something thats happening is super frustrating.

When I keyframe ahead and go to move the mask, the WHOLE mask moves.  This is whether I have the mask tool or selection tool selected.  Then at times, when I want to move the entired mask as a whole, just the little points move.  I have tried holding control, shift, alt etc and nothing seems to be consistent.

Am I doing something wrong?  Why the inconsistency when moving or adjusting the mask?

Thanks for your help, I hope I explained this properly.

Maybe this short tutorial I did a long time ago will help. You have to pay close attention to what the mouse pointer looks like. I also do most of the animation using the selection tool (v) instead of the pen tool (g). It's easier to select more than one point or individual points by drawing a selection around them with the selection tool because it turns white.
