Masking Multiple Text Layers

Hi all,

I am trying to create an effect where the end result looks something like the image below and the text appears after the background has populated and appears from the join between the two colours.

The way I have tried to do this is to duplicate the solid and track matte the text to this so that the text should only appear on that side. I can seem to get this to work for one side but whenever I try the same effect for the second side it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Massive thanks in advance!

Pre-compose both solids and use a Set Matte effect on the text layer.

Or precompose the Solids (Move all attributes into new comp) and then use a Track Matte aS before. Precomposing is a way of grouping the two soilids into one layer.

This helps

The Set Matte effect will achieve the same without having to duplicate the composition.
