I have been trying to drop a graphic template in the sequence and keep getting this. I have had AE and it is up to date. I even uninstalled and then reinstalled. It is licensed and updated.

Without any specific details about the template we can't tell you much. have you actualyl tried to open it in AE and re-saved it? It may simply be from an older version and contain some wonky data that needs updating...
