Motion Tile Not Working :(( ! plz help !

Ok so my clip is doing this weird thing where it will have a black border whenever I use s_blurmocurves and motion tile (as you can see in my quick video) and I'm not sure how to get rid of it (hence why I showed you my graphs, value number, motion tile, etc.) I've tried everything, believe me. I even deleted the clip a couple of times + deleted after effects and re got it.

By the way, I've used the s_blurmocurves effect before and its never done this.

Please help, it would mean the world to me! :))

For motion tile to work without edges there must be no transparency in the layer. Adding a blur can add transparency. Before you add motion tile, add your blur then zoom to the maximum Magnification. If there is any transparency, Motion Tile will not be seamless.

If you need soft edges you need to add a layer sized solid to the timeline below the layer you want to tile, pick a color that will blend with the soft edges, add the blur to the layer you want to tile, then pre-compose both layers making sure that the new comp is the same size as the layers. Then you can apply Motion Tile to the nested comp (pre-comp).

I understand what you are saying, however, I used to not have this problem in the past so I was wondering if I pressed something?

Here is the link to the tutorial on the effect (the one I was following)

I hope this helps and thank you for responding!
