Hi guys I wanted to ask what version of After Effects would be smooth for my MacBook to handle and run smoothly without any issues, I got this bad boy in Japan for an extremely good price from a well known Apple reseller in Tokyo. I'm new to editing so I don't know much

Your machine does not meet the minimum system requirements for After Effects unless you can find a very old version somewhere.
