No preview and cannot render

First time user here, I cannot render any projects and the preview window is always black

"Error code: -1609629695"

Any help is appreciated

The code necessary would be missing. HEIC is generated by iPhone? You add the codec.

You need to convert the files to a different format. HEIC/ HEIF support in Adobe apps is extremely limited at this point. Even Photoshop doesn't handle most of these files correctly.
