Could you upload a sample .PNG that is causing the issue?

I'm not sure I understand.
Are you able to open these .PNG files in any application?
How were they created?
What version of AE do you have installed?
What OS version do you have installed?
Where are the PNG files located? Are they on a Dropbox or similar volume?

Hi DKochhar,
Can you try exporting the PNG file again using Photoshop or any other image processing app?
Let us know if it helps. I'll move your post to the Discussions board for troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Nishu

I have issue with importing .png files to AE CC2025 as well. I don't know why that is. I'm working on macbook pro and worked on apple devices almost a decade and never had this problem. Seems that no matter what .png file i'm importing to AE, AE is not responding to that PNG. Here's link to screen recroding of the issue: https://youtu.be/wynAML2RRF0

HI @Lukasetti,
Thank you for reporting this issue. Does the import work if you using File > Import > File... rather than dragging from the Finder?
Thanks for any further info,

I've notice that the .svg format is not importing as well. The same issue like with .png format.

I never got a solution on this. But what I fugured out that take screenshot of your PNG image then crop it the way you like it and save it as JPG or PNG and then you can import that screenshot in AE.

Sorry for the delayed response, @Lukasetti.
I went to the same website as shown in the screen recording and followed the same process. I was able to import the PNG file without any issues. Can you try using a different browser to download the images? If that doesn't work, try importing the PNG file from a different location in your local drive. Try to use a folder that's not synced with iCloud or any other cloud storage service.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu
