NotchLC Bad ProRes Decode Performance

Advocate ,
Sep 12, 2024 Sep 12, 2024

I was rendering some video wall stuff and the source was some pro-res files and on export the GPU spiked to 100% and the rendering took about 10x times as long as it should.

When I uninstalled the NotchLC plugin performance went back to normal.

Not sure if this is a notch problem or a Adobe problem but would be nice to be able to disable codecs that might be highjacking native adobe decoding such as ProRes. I still need notch for endcode, but don't need it to gum up the works on decode if this is the performance!

I recommend contacting the plug-in manufacturer to see if there's an update available or if they can provide help.

Let us know how it goes with them. Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,
Nishu
