Paint on transparent removes the paint as well

Hi Everyone, I painted and did frame-by-frame animation on the footage, but now when I click on paint on transparent it removes my paint layers along with my footage. I have just 1 paint effect, didn't add multiple. I don't need the footage as I want to add some effects on the paint layer and don't want those effects on footage.

Red paint lines are appearing

When I clicked on paint on transparent, my paint layers are gone too

You can see there is just 1 paint effect

Don't know what's wrong with it.

Can anyone let me know what I am doing wrong? Thank you in advance.
