has anyone has the instance where copy/paste a cut music bed from PPro to AE adds 2 stereo mixers to each track, each at 35.57% of the volume for left and right? any work around or ways of preventing this from happening?

My guess is that this would be related to how your audio tracks are setup in Premiere. Are they stereo, mono, or adaptive tracks? Depending on what your audio channel setup should be, maybe try playing around with creating new tracks and moving the audio to that. For example, are you working with mono clips in stereo tracks? If so, try creating a new mono track and moving the audio there instead.
