Hello There,
I used to use Reelsteady as my go to Stabilization Plugin in After effects but there has been no support for AE Versions newer than CC2017.
According to the developers thats caused by a bug in After Effects 3D Camera Tracking function, introduced in CC2018. The Bug hasn't been fixed yet.
Is there any chance we see a bug fix from Adobe in this? Reelsteady is a really great and helpful tool with no actual alternative on the market.
Please get in touch with the developers to figure this out.🙏🙏
Thanks Adobe

The 3D Camera tracker in all the current builds of the available versions does not have any bugs. Warp stabilizer is greatly improved in CC 2020. Until the folks at Reelsteady update their plugin you are stuck with their stand-alone or with using CC 2017. I doubt that Adobe will go backward with the tracking software. They are introducing new Adobe’s Sensei AI technology powered effects so don't look for Adobe to roll things back. Reelsteady is not going to work without a substantial upgrade by the developer.

Sadly, they say something different..
And, well, I tried warp stabiliser and it is just waste of time. Really.. results are wobbly and distorted ALL the time.. Just unusable function, far away from reelstedady qualities

Hi! Do you still have the AE CC 2017 installer?
I have the same problem:(

In case you manage to get a CC 2017 installer from somewhere, you need to make to stay with macOS Mojave since AE CC 2017 is not working on Catalina and beyond. For Windows I'm not sure.

Oh okay, thanks for the hint!

Rather than pirate an old version of After Effects, why not just use/purchase the stand-alone RealSteady GO application? While it's not as convenient as working directly in After Effects, it should allow you to take advantage of the stabilization that you prefer.
I've always been happy with the results from CoreMelt Lock and Load X. Their marketing makes it look like it's only for Final Cut Pro X, but it runs in After Effects or Premiere Pro as well. I think it may be limited to CC2018 though. I haven't tried to install it on my newer Mac yet.

Hi Warren, I don't wanna pirate, that's why I'm here 😄 I actually pay for the entire Creative Suite subscription.
The stand-alone version unfortunately is only made for GoPros (because it's based on their gyro data). I don't use a GoPro though - to be specific it's the DJI FPV for me.
CoreMelt looks interesting though - I will check it out, thank you!
