Preview audio NOT muted in 2023

So in Preview settings window I have audio disabled on playback, but when RAM preview is finished I'm still getting audio for no reason. Is there something in Preferences somewhere that got moved where audio will absolutely be muted when playback starts? For now I have to just disable the audio layer in comp which is annoying when its 100+ layers to scroll down through to mute, it should just not play if muted completely on the Preview playback settings box.

23.2.1 Build 3, I feel stupid posting this because it seems obvious that it should be muted? Where else is there a playback audio settings for finished RAM previews in the Preference settings, any idea where I should check? Could just be that

When you say "when RAM preview is finished", you're still getting audio? As in after it's finished caching frames or after you stop the preview then audio keeps playing? Anyway you can make a video of this?

One thing I can think of is that the Preview Shortcut you're using may not be the one that has the audio turned off?

There are different play modus's like space bar for play and 0 on numeric keyboard for ram preview, each having a different setting in the preview window. For example you can have audio switch turned off  for ram preview, but on for space bar playback at the same time. Make sure the preview pane is showing the playback setting/method you use when turning off audio playback button.

I have had same issue for months, should not matter whether you hit 0 or space to preview this is 100% another obvious oversight from Adobe fixing what wasn't broken. Muted speaker icon in preview panel should mean ZERO audio no matter what.

Are you still having the issue? Let us know.

I am moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for now.
