Hello my name is Rowin and i have a macbook pro. I'm using adobe after effects on it but the preview from what im making is lagging a lot. When i play it still needs to render. I know its normal because its heavy for my mac. But it is so much that i cant see what im making in after effects(the result). Does anybody know how i can fix this. Maybe hardware wise? I red somewhere that you can use an external ssd to store all the cache from adobe after effects on it. Or justin preview settings? I hope somebody can help me with my problem?

Hello,
You may need to use some external devices to meet your demand. Would you let me know the spec of your Mac (CPU, RAM, Graphic card, HDD or SSD, Connection ports)?

Specs are 16 GB RAM, AMD RADEON 4GB graphic card. A 2TB Apple ssd and i now use because of this a samsung ssd 250GB for the cache from after effects. But i dont know if this will work? So if you know better things..?

Hello,
Can you choose the other options from the same pop-up? Generally speaking, GPU solution is faster than CPU one in the point of the preview.
