Problem with After Effects crashing

Community Beginner ,

Hi folks, I've been having some problems of crash and freezing in the compositive view or AE. It happened to me when I worked with files exported from Premiere, which suddenly did not update the viewer no matter where the timeline was leading and causing the program to close. Try to solve it by rendering all my Premiere videos on AME, exporting them to AE and replacing the premiere links on my timeline, but the same thing still happens. Someone has been the same?

Try also updating my GPU driver (a Geforce 1060) cleaning cache, uninstalling old versions of my adobe programs and maintaining the system but it still happens.

Extra data, are compositions of 30 to 40 minutes with motion graphics. What seems super strange to me is that closures happen when I work on video rendering or premiere links, not as heavy as the composition of animated graphics.

HELP!

Hi there,

Sorry for your issue. We would need more information so that we can understand the issue better:

  1. What is the exact version of After Effects are you using? https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-find-the-exact-version-of-after-effects-you-...
  2. What are your system specifications (CPU, RAM, OS)?
  3. What are the properties (frame rate, frame size, format/codec) of the media you are importing in After Effects?

We're here to help, just need more info.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi! thanks to the reply!

I am using the last version of Adobe AE (17.0.2) and the lastest versions on AME and Pr.

Mi Pc specs are a Intel i7 6700 3.40Ghz, 32 GB RAM with a GeForce GTX 1070

The project is a collage of video and motion graphics of 20 minutes, the videos processed previously edited in Premiere and render on AME to avoid using Dynamic Link and see if that was what caused the problem, but discard it. It is a 25 fps, 1920 x 1080 project with H264 output format. I use some graphics created on my Illustration and export text from Photoshop (latest version) all convert to editable on Ae (shapes and text)

Thanks again!

Sorry for the delay in response. Please try resetting the preferences of After Effects and check if it helps. Here's how: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-...

If it doesn't help, try installing the latest release of After Effects (17.0.4).

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks.

Nishu
