Problems transferring my 3-d text in cinema 4d to after effects.

So I am trying to transfer some 3-D text to after effects. I keep getting error messages and it is all black like I never added extrude or something. Help Please!!

did this ever work for you? Seems Ae can't connect to C4D. there is a network protocol that is supposed to reach C4D. it can failed. maybe you have some software blocking it? check for firewalls or any external app that maybe blocks the connection.

where do I find that ? I have it showing in my after effects but I cant do nothing with it. it alows on the first frame when i have the cineware clicked. But as soon as I move frames it went black it renders in the main preview window but no where else.

Sorry, DUI I just saw this.

The Options link I referred to is in the Effects control panel. You click on the C4D layer in the timeline then open the effects panel. The options link is small and at the top of the Cineware FX. Both of your shots show you are still in the project window.

Also, I wouldn't scrub until you set that if it is crashing the program with the error.

I tried this exactly as you showed and it worked. My C4D project was setup the same. I clicked on the options link inside the C4D effects in AE and this is what I got (pic below).  You may want to check there. It seems perhaps it's not seeing your renderer. Port problem? Path problem?

I never use it this way, so I'm not sure. Also, I have the full version of R19 so I'm not sure what yours should be.
