Projects are not opening

A few weeks ago, I started a new project, but at some point I tried to open it and the loading bar was at 98% or 99% and it wouldn't open. I have the most up-to-date version of AE (24.1).
The only solution I found was to open it through AE Beta. This way I can continue editing the project. Does anyone know how to avoid this?
