Rendering an image sequence getting the wrong frame number in the file name

Hi,

I started to render a comp as a tiff sequence. I had to stop it to work on something else. After I was done I wanted to re-start the render from where I left off. When i start the render at frame 93 it writes the file as 0000 effectively overwriting my actual frame 0 which was rendered previously.

Has anyone else experienced this, or have any advice? I tested it in the most recent version of after effects and in 2019 and both did the same thing.

Thanks!

Solved.

The checkbox next to "use comp frame number" was not checked in my output module preset I was using.

Once I checked the box After effects rendered the frame with the filename matchae_compframe.pnging the frame number in the comp

Check the render template settings. By default AE should use the comp timecode/ frame number. You may have chosen an option that overrides this. Otherwise dial in a manual start time.
