Mac Pro 3.33Ghz 12 core
128 gig RAM
RX590 8 gig GPU (METAL)
Could this be an issue in AE. Why is asking me to stop multi thread and drop res etc.
My specs can easily manage this on previous AE versions with H/W acceleration enables
Never ever saw this issue before/
Had to drop to 8bpc, 1024 texture, and a HD res.
Is this a bug?
Without any actual info about your project we can't tell you much. Typically of course those buffer errors would relate to overcranked Motion Tile settings and similar and recently there's a lot of people who get this error by simply using Saphhire plug-ins like S_BlurMoCurves wrongly. For anything outside that you'd have to provide more info and screenshots.

I personally see this as a limitation in Ae's memory management
Rendered out a 4K but was a mighty long process
