RGB Colour Problem in After Effects

Community Beginner ,

Hey!

I'm having some trouble with colour management in AE.

My RGB values are all in decimal form and I'm not sure how to change it back to be 0-255. I saw elsewhere that I need to make sure my project is 8-bit colour space and it is (See photo). So not sure if I'm just missing setting this to 8 bit somewhere else? 😕

I'm also having trouble matching the colours to what I had in my AI file. I tried changing my working space colour settings and it's still not matched so I'm assuming it has something to do with this RGB decimal thing.

Thanks!

I figured it out 🤦‍:female_sign:

It was in a decimal because this setting was changed:

If the display is set to auto the color values will change to match the bit depth of the composition. Personally, 90% of the time I have the color set to decimal because I use a lot of expressions on color and the color array is always four digits from 0 to 1.
