Hey I'm trying to animate a process of transforming shrap "*"stars edges into a rounded shape just like you can do in Illustrator, I have created the "*" as a shape, but cannot work out how to get in in the exact shape as seen in the video bellow. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can do it using the Round Corners modifier included in the Shape Layers. The only thing you need to know is that this modifier only works if you have corner points. If any of the points of your path is a bezier one, this point will not be rounded.

If the shape is a basic (triangle, circle, and so on), you can set the corner radius in the shape options.

When this isn't working, you need to modify the path and make the animtion with keyframes. The path property can be keyframed. The process is to have the sharp * path at the start and the round * path at the end. AE will interpolate between both shapes. You might need to finetune the path points in between to make it look good.
