Running AfterFX.exe to run extendscript file causes After Effects to exit full screen.

Hi, I have a question regarding running extendscript for After Effects. When running an external script I can call:

"C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe After Effects 2023/Support Files/AfterFX.exe" -r <Path to .jsx script>

While the script does execute in the currently opened instance of After Effects, this exits full screen if the window is full screen, which can be inconvenient as I need to set the window back to full screen each time I run the script. Is there another solution that works programmatically? Don't want to use File->Scripts->Run Script File. Thanks!
