Sharing my free plug-in for accurate camera rectification

Hi all!

A colleague and I (postdocs in academia) made a plugin for Adobe AE and Premiere (Mac and PC), which rectifies lens distorted video right on the timeline in real time. It is easy to use as is, while also allowing a few neat tricks The plugin is free for testing and personal use and is currently being presented at SIGGRAPH 2017 in LA.

Current presets include all modes of GoPro 3+ through 5, and a calibration tool is available for calibrating your own lens (currently PC only).

Video demo: https://vimeo.com/214223350

Plugin is downloadable from http://www.atomicimagelabs.com/

Enjoy and let us know, what you think!

Best,

Jannik

I will give this a try. Removing lens distortion is critical to accurate camera tracking and seamless compositing. It's a first step that anyone serious about compositing and tracking should take with their footage. I'll let you know what I find out.

Thank you for all your work on this plug-in
