Side-scroller animation

Hi there, i'm trying to make a side scoller animation of the scene from "the shining" where Danny is cycling through the hotel on his tricycle. I made the character and corridoor setting in illustrator, and i'm just wondering what would be the best way to animate it in After effects, with danny constantly in the middle of the screen as he passes by bedroom doors in the hallway, any suggestions would be appreciated!
