After I installed Sierra, my Magic Mouse starting to act crazy in After Effects (CC 2015.3) and wasn't able to scroll or zoom in effectively. It jumps from 50% to 1600% with a very subtle movement and it is impossible to live and work with. Someone please help!
Apple released macOS 10.12.1 this week. It appears to fix the problems with sensitivity of scrolling with an Apple touch device.
I have just installed the update and tested scrolling to zoom in the Composition, Layer, and Footage panels with an Apple Magic Mouse, and the behavior now appears to be the same as on 10.11.6.
Also, as I mentioned above we investigated disabling scrolling inertia when zooming in the viewer panels in After Effects, and I'm happy to say that in the next version of After E

macOS 10.12.1 Beta appears to resolve this issue.
Of course, by installing the public beta you could be introducing more bugs – but this particular one was driving me mad.

Also, as I mentioned above we investigated disabling scrolling inertia when zooming in the viewer panels in After Effects, and I'm happy to say that in the next version of After Effects this will be the case. This change makes the zoom behavior feel predictable with Apple touch devices, and eliminates the problem where accidental swipes or too-quick-flicks of your fingers cause the viewer panel to zoom all the way in or out. (Accidental swipes or flicks, if they happen, will still zoom the viewer. But now the zoom amount is based on the distance you move your finger, same as a mouse with a physical scroll wheel.)

Could it be a feature for a user to to disable scroll-to-zoom in the composition panel? That's my biggest headache right now, dragging my finger across the magic mouse and losing the whole thing, having to go back to "Fit"

Apple was even released update 10.12.2. I really don't know what kind of tiny updates are included and is there anything concerning mouse problems, but my mouse still behave wierd in Adobe AfterEffects composition window while using scroll zoom. Wierd is actually not the right expression - it's unpossible to work, absolutelly impossible.
Scrolling speed in my mouse settings are down to almost zero. If i want to scroll some web content it takes hours, but zoom steps in AfterEffects still jump 1,5% - 100% - 1600%
MacBookPro 15" 2012 OS10.12.2
Logitech M705
Is there a hope to solution?
Sorry if i just didn't find it here because of my own stupidity.
I'm even ready to change a mouse, if somebody can recommend some good device (except AppleMagic)

And another one small fact i would like to add.
MacOS works well in owerall.
My Logitech Mouse behaves perfect. Everywhere. In every application.
Except After Effects Composition Window Zoom (even other windows in the same AFX understands mouse scroll settings correctly) ...
Except After Effects Composition Window Zoom.
There is just one place in my computer world what don't works correctly with my mouse - AFX Composition Window.
And Adobe still declare - fault is in Apple (or anywhere else)

berzins: I have the EXACT same problem. it's what brought me to this thread. Just lightly touching the scroll wheel on my Logitech mouse make the Comp window go from 100% to 1.5% or 1600%. It has been a problem for me for a very long time. no settings change the sensitivity.
I've tried a older Apple mouse and it does improve the scroll speed, so I thought it may be a weird Logitech driver or hardware issue, except for 3 things:
I would have replaced my mice a long time ago if I could find one that i liked as much as this one. I've been just living with the annoyance of erratic zooming in AE.

At the moment i have changed my Logitech Marathon Mouse to Logitech M235 - a cheap one, simple as stone mouse for 20€. Somehow it works well with AFX composition zoom ... Even don't know what to think about it. (and i have installed a SteerMouse app trial to have some additional settings and fine tune. I think when trial period will end i'm going to buy a license for that app)
So - Logitech mouse model change & SteerMouse app somehow solved my problem for now.

I've thought a lot about just getting a new mouse. I have the Performance MX with Darkfield because I completely despise using a mouse pad. I love this mouse except for this one issue in AE. the fact that it's happening with my Wacom Ring dial makes me suspect that it's a compounding issue of weird device drivers and settings built into in AE.

I see a lot of confusion online concerning Magic mouse and Indesign.
Indesign seems to regard the display area as the document PLUS the pasteboard.
I solved all my magic mouse issues by changing the size of the pasteboard so that it fits within my screen:
Indesign > Preferences > Guides and Pasteboard > Pasteboard Options
Bonne chance, mes amis.
