I will apologize in advance if this is a rookie error, I am extremely new to After Effects. I am not sure if this is possibly a software bug, but for some reason the animation is not running. Start is at 0.0% and End is at 100%. If I adjust the end towards 0% and back up again manually, it works as you might expect; however, despite the fact that I have moved the keyframe/node indicator on the End in the transport frame below, the transition does not actually animate while it is playing. It is perpetually at the "End" state wherever it is in the animation sequence, irrespective of where I have placed the node indicator (currently at far-right).
Thanks!

You have only one keyframe on the End property. You need at least two keyframes, with each keyframe holding a different value from the other, to create an animation.
You really should go through the curated tutorials which are accessible via AE's Help Menu.

Hi, thank you, much appreciated. I am kicking off with some "from the start" tutorials, but this is an idea I wanted to try to get at least partially fleshed out, and I don't think this type of work is up front on the sequence I'm doing. Again, thanks.
