Text Doesn't Appear When Editing

When editing text layers; they do not appear as visible text when editing. Also when you select a text layer to edit, it will highlight the text, but not show the text.

AE INfo:

• Version 17.0.6 (Build 35)
• 62% used of 15.9gb (when viewing About AE window)

System Specs:

• Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor

• Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

• RAM 16 GB

• Operating System Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)
• 1TB SSD

WHAT HAVE I TRIED:

• See screen shots for example of issue and what I have tried: changing project settings color to 32bit & changing line spacing.

Try it with a basic font to test if it's a font-specific issue.
If it isn't a font-specific issue, then it's quite likely an AE Preference issue.

However, you should first go to the Character Panel and select its Hamburger Menu and select the Reset Character option.

If this doesn't work, re-start AE and Trash its Preferences.
