The perfect rendering machine - CPU, RAM,GPU usage while rendering

Trying to build the ultimate rendering machine for my studio, this is a machines that excute renders from aerender(command line rendering).
A machine that can run around 12 aerender processes at the same time.
What sould I take in mind regarding hardware ? is there a ram limitaion per CPU core ?
What is the ratio between CPU core and RAM ?
And taking in mind that the machine needs to be stable and the rendering times needs to be close as like I will render those compostions alone on a regular workstation ?
Does someone built a machine for this process before?
Thanks

The usual answers apply: Without any info about project specifics nobody can tell you much. AE's rendering process is complex and complicated and it's not as easy as saying "Buy this and that..." VFX-centric workflows with heavy footage I/O have different requirements than doing simple graphics for web video. Similarly, you can't enforce anything in AE by just decking out your machine with RAM or buying a beefy GPU. These urban myths just won't die, but it's just not true. All that being the case, only the same advice can be given that we've done a hundred times: Browse this forum or do a web search based on "How to optimize performance..." and similar subjects and base your decision on other people's experiences with their machines and workflows. Similarly, posting the exact specs of the machine you intend to buy may allow us to gauge whether it is suitable or not and what needs to be changed. Everything else can only end up being an unproductive endless discussion with everyone & their mom sharing their opinion without ever getting a satisfying answer.

Hey Mylenium, Thanks for your quick replay.
We optimize our projects as much as we can using proxies and other project optimization techniques, But having said that our projects varies from simple and easy motion graphics to major VFX projects that uses a lot of plugins such as Element3D and all of red giant plugin suite.
The main question is how many render process can run simultencialy on a single machine while taking in mind reasonble render time and stable render that doesn't creash.
Thanks

If E3D is involved, you're stuck with single-threaded rendering due to how it burdens and exhausts GPU resources. In such a scenario any dreams of fancy parallel rendering will not go anywhere. You can perhaps run two or three instances on a 12 GB graphics card before getting into trouble and doesn't even account for any other GPU functions of other effects or AE itself. Same for other plug-ins like RG Looks, which apparently also crashes a lot these days. So you can basically stop there. In a pinch, buying two off-the-shelf mid-range core9i systems or similar would be more efficient than investing in an expensive single workstation.

Thanks Mylenium.
Things are strating to be more clearer now.
