It has come to my attention that my After Effects 2022 doesnt have toggle switches/mode, i've never seen them when using the application and I am curious if there is a way to add them into the timeline?
I have reset my workspace, in hopes to find them but yet still they aren't there.
As you can see it is currently not on my timeline.

F4 will switch between the Modes and Switches columns as it always has. The popup is gone, but the function remains.
I almost always have both columns open because I fiddle with most settings while working on almost all layers. I sometimes turn them all off if I write expressions to have more room.
Try F4. You should see the columns change.

You want to expand the Layer Switches Pane or the Transfer Controls pane. When both are collapsed, there's nothing to toggle.
Click the "Expand or Collapse Transfer Controls pane" button at the lower left of the Timeline panel so that it's blue (enabled) and showing the Modes. You will then be able to click at the bottom of this pane (or column) to toggle between showing Switches or Modes. Or click "Expand or Collapse Layer Switches" to the left of it.
