There are a few different trackers within After Effects, which are useful for different things. I'd start by checking out some of the Adobe tutorials available here on the site, and see if those help point you in the right direction. There are a lot of additional skills that go into making a believable composite, animating elements in 3d space, etc., but hopefully this will get you started!
I'd also suggest checking out VideoCopilot - he's done a lot of tutorials on this kind of stuff over the years.
