Trapcode Particular 3D Position offset from layer

Hello!

I am working on a project where I have Trapcode Particular using a layer as an emmiter. I am then moving that layer in 3d space. I cannot seem to figure out why the emitter seems to be offset from the position of the layer. I have tried:

  • Using a null for the Emitter position with the same positon keyframes as my layer.
  • Using the Layer's position.
  • Precomping the Layer itself to make sure there is nothign else going on.
  • I have ensured that the layer and the particular solid is the same resolution as the comp that everything sits in.

Nothing really seems to work!

Attached are images showing what happens when I move my layer left to right in 3D space, as well as my Trapcode settings.

If you have any idea how to help I would super appreciate it! Thanks so much!

Best Regards,

J

Create an actual camera layer and use it as your Particular cam.

Hey Mylenium,

Thanks very much for the super fast reply and suggestion. Please forgive my ignorance, I have set up a camera (although I am not 100% sure how I am supposed to set it as the particular cam other than just having it in the comp) and I still seem to have the same issue, would you happen to know what I am doing wrong here? Thanks again for your help!

Best Regards,

J
