Hello guys,

I'm pretty much still a beginne in AE and I'm still trying to learn a lot.

Anyhow I encountered a problem using trapcode tao and it's really bugging me off: basically I'm trying to make some DNA strands for a school project and animate them a little bit and after adding 2 adjustment layers to make it look a little bit more realistic the DNA strands have now black annoying edges that may not bother me if there is a black background but become disturbing if you actuallly wat to put another one. Here is what it looks like with a black bg:1.PNG

Seems pretty fine right? Well here is what it looks like with a white bg:

2.PNG

It really sucks because it looses it's realistic look with those black edges, and I don't really know what to do, can someone help me please?

The adjustment layers are: 1 Find Edges (which is not the problem as I turned it off and it still had that problem) and 2 glow effects one in add mode the other in screen mode. Is there anyway to fix this?

You get what you ask for - leave out the Find Edges effect. Other than that try using effects like Remove Color Matting, Matte Choker, Refine Edges and all that stuff to manipulate and clean up the fringes.
