Hello,

I am having troubles with saber, whenever I try to use it for text there is a hard line on the edge. Not sure if I am missing something. I just bought Element 3D, followed a couple of tutorials and I cannot make it work because of the harsh lines I always get around texts. I have tried pre-composing, and creating layer masks from text and still the same. I am trying to achieve what is on the image with the Motion text.

HELP!!!

Thank you

Element 3D should be the only effect added to a comp-sized 2D layer that is positioned exactly at the comp center with no Layer/Transform properties modified in any way. Saber should also be applied to a comp-sized 2D layer. When you want to use Saber to outline text you turn off your text layer, apply Saber to a comp-sized solid, then point to the text layer with Saber.

Your cropped screenshots that were not embedded in your post do not tell us anything about your workflow or what you are doing to the layers. I'm only guessing that you have not followed the recommended workflow for either effect. The screenshot that I embedded shows you everything I did to the layers. The borders you are seeing are there because you either made the layers 3D or scaled them, or moved them, or they are not comp-sized.
