Type tool causing After Effects to crash

This problem started for me today. I'm using the Sora Google font for a project, and I noticed that the weights weren't available, I uninstalled and reinstalled the font, and the weights started showing up, but cause after effects to go into a loop of error messages. Now, everytime I open after effects and use the text tool, it instantly goes into that loop and I have to force quit.

Try re-downloading the font.

Also check to see if there's another font with that name on your system.

I tried redownloading the font, reinstalling, as well as reinstalling after effects, as well as reverting to the previous version. I also tried restarting CC and my computer. So far, nothing has changed

Looks like this font have some issue with AE, did you try to remove the font totally from your system?

Also try to download the font from another source, and removed totally than reinstalled

Just wanted to update everyone. I managed to resolve the issue by quitting After Effects, deleting the font, opening After Effects to find it working normally, then quitting After Effects again and reinstalling the font. So far so good, After Effects has been working well again. I guess it was just a glitch?
