Undo doesn't affect preview

New Here ,
Aug 31, 2015 Aug 31, 2015

Adobe After Effects 2015.0.1 - ver. 13.5.1.48, so it's up to date.

Issue is as it follows:

While making anything in a composition -w hen I hit crtl+z (or choose undo from menu-edit) it does work - technically - but there is some preview problem. For example:

I make a solid square, then i move it to right, and again, and again. So we have 4 steps (create, move, move, move). So let's say I'm on the last step and the square is on the right. Then i hit undo. What I get is... the layer is still in the same position, but bounding box actually goes back to the step 3 (correct reaction!).

So while undoing, the visual material stays at it's place, and a bounding box moves as it should.

Please, help as soon as possible.
Adrian

The After Effects CC 2015 (13.6.1) bug-fix update is available. It fixes several bugs, including the one being discussed on this thread.

Details: http://adobe.ly/1QqMMc6

Let us know how things work after you have installed the update.

You can roll back to CC2014 or CC2015 (13.5) and your project file will

open fine. I took just a few minutes to roll back and let 13.6 just be a

bad memory. I can't imagine using that version for any length of time.

Even after they fix the undo bug, I doubt that I will install it. My short

experience with 13.6 was not good...It crashed a few times on project that

never had in the past. The new features don't warrant the headaches.

Hi,

I’ve installed the beta version of the update. Apparently it fixed the preview/undo bug.

But for me with 13.6 updated, it appeared a problem of slowness, lag  using the handtool (spacebar) to navigate inside diffrerents panels. It is not corrected with this beta. I never had this problem before. Finally, AE is still very very slow at rendering. I see no benefit of multiprocessing.

As it was said before, it's fine to put new things, but I think what would interest many subscribers would be you to really fixe BUGS once and for all. That you focus on rendering speed. What kills me is that I still have here in my company users who are still on CC2012 and we pay 70 euros per month per user. If we could buy licenses, we will not have the impression of having lost so much money every month.

Since updating CC2015 we lost multiprocessing, Save RAM preview which was very convenient, Orange color interface which was good to me to lots of others.

I don’t see any benefit using CC 2015 for now, but I’m really tired moving from one version to another so I stick with it.
