Using 'Track Camera' to insert free standing logo in video, but video jumps

Hello

I want to insert a free standing logo in a video of a woman walking and as the camera follows the woman it 'walks past' the logo and the logo disappears. Using the track camera option kinda does the trick, but the Video keeps jumping rapidly back and forth after a second or so, before going back to normal. Does anyone know why this is happening? Or am I using the wrong technique?

It would be great if you could help me!

Thanks in advance

Melissa

I'd begin by giving AE the best chance to solve the track.

If I had mp4 video -- often highly compressed, making AE construct frames before it can even begin tracking --  I'd transcode to a good intermediate codec:  Quicktimes in ProRes422, Animation or DNxHR codecs are good for the task.

If jumping still happens then, it's a technique problem and we'd have to see a screen shot to see what you're up against.

If camera tracking did not produce the results you want you either did not learn how to properly use the procedure including setting an origin and ground plane, identifying geometry, and testing the track before you started or you have footage that is not suitable for camera tracking.

We need more details and if possible a screenshot with modified properties of the layers you are having problems with revealed (uu will do it) or a link to the shot.
