Video in slow motion after rendering

So I just bought after effects on my Mac Air and the program has been running smoothly with no issue until I went to export my video. After rendering my video to QuickTime it's in slow motion, as well as the audio. Ive tried turning town resolution and quality but it doesn't make a difference. Ive also tried rendering trough media encounter but the same thing happens. Something that I have noticed is that the video in slow motion somehow has the same time span as in after effects which is a little strange because wouldn't it be significant longer after being slowed down? I'm not sure if this has anything to do with my settings or if it's an issue with QuickTime but I would be so grateful for any help I can get.

Without exact info on your render settings nobody can be sure, but the most likely cause is that you have overridden the frame rate by e.g. choosing a wrong H.264 preset. that would of course affect everything across the board even in AME. Start by checking this. Anything more will require exact info on the relevant details as mentioned.

Thank you! I've attached some photos of my render settings as well as my preview and layout in general. As you can see I don't have the option to use the H.264 video codec for the rendering. Although I have tried using it trough media encounter but that gave the same result. I am fairly new to the program and I'm unsure of what overriding the frame rate means and how I can fix it

You are using the default Animation CoDec, which will rarely ever play realtime even on powerful systems. There is really nothing wrong with that. only compressed CoDecs such as H.264 with much lower data rates will be playable in realtime.

I have tried many different codecs for rendering not just animation, but it didn't help. The only way I can use the h.264 is if I render my video trough media encounter, which I have previously tried but that didn't work either. I can attach some screenshots of my settings in media encounter and the layout. Is there any settings I should change?

Hi Elise5E92,

Would you mind testing the preview in a different media player? If that's not possible, try importing the exported file in After Effects or Premiere Pro and see if it works any better.

Let us know.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi there.

Unfortunately I'm facing the same issue, did you manage to find the solution for that problem?
