Wacom tablet no pen pressure in After Effects

I just got a wacom intuos draw for use in After Effects. The pen pressure is not working in after effects even when dynamics is set to pen pressure. It simply sraws a 1 px line. I attached an image to show what I mean. The tablet and pen pressure work perfectly in Photoshop so it seems like an after effects problem. I have the most recent driver and totally up to date with cc 2017. Thanks!

I got a download link from Wacom support for the older driver 6.3.29-4 for macOS.

No luck. Brush dynamics still not working in AE.

macOS 10.13.4, Wacom Intuos tablet PTK-640.

Gutterfish: Thanks for the thoughts here. Unrelated issue though. I'm unfortunately very familiar with the "Ink" issue. I'm currently on Mac though, which has less of those issues. Every other app on my system works fine with Wacom pressure (I use all the main Adobe apps, Zbrush, etc).  AE has been bricked with the latest Wacom drivers for upwards of a year. Also tried swapping the nub for kicks (saw that on a forum awhile back too), but no luck there either.

Update: Can confirm that Pen Pressure works with Wacom Tablet Driver 6.3.15-3 (lesson earned: always save wacom drivers because apparently they don't fully archive them on their website). It's a bummer that AE and Wacom Tablets are not fully compatible in their latest versions.

Latest Wacom driver 6.3.31-4 with After Effects CC 2019 works.
