wave warp issue

please someone help me otherwise i dont see any reason to keep my membership with adobe i am trying to apply the wave warp effect to only her dress, the reason im showing this image is because if you look the wave warp looks nice and professional but when i went into photoshop to lasso tool the dress and pressed ctrl+x and then create a new layer named dress and clicked on that layor and pressed ctrl+v which removed the dress from the first layor and sent it to the dress layor and thinking im good now i opened it into after effects and to my suprise the warp effect when i applied it to the dress layor did only effect that layor however as you can see from some of the edges with white gaps it was done well how do i fix that?

if you look at all the red circled areas which are white background gaps from using the wave warp how do i prevent this where everything edge wise is covered over how do i fix this please tell me!!!!

Hi there, delete the imported Photoshop file in your AE and try importing again. Now you can apply the Warp FX to the Dress layer alone. Hope it helps.
