Waveform animation example method

Greetings Abode forum.

 

I'd like to know if it's possible to do an animation like in the example which starts at 50 seconds to 51 seconds.

Could be as trivial as animating a bunch of masks and then pinning the fake dots to their anchor points using expressions. basic stuff, pretty much. May just take a bit of tweaking to look good.

Absolutely possible! If your example is quick like this one, I'd just animate it manually by drawing and animating some paths and ellipses on shape layers, or you could also do this with masks, as suggested by Mylenium. If you need a much longer example, you could set up a rig, taking advantage of the (included) Create Nulls From Paths script, which can tie vertex points to cretaed null obejcts (and vice-versa).
