Weird black and white image on new comp

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to why whenever I create a new comp, this image is in the comp without me doing anything to it:

It's getting really frustrating, sometimes it just pops up in the projects renders and it's a real pain to get rid of it

Purge AE's memory & cadches.

I've never seen that type thing.  Let us know if it remains after the purge.
