I'm making an tweening animation in after effects, and whever I hit play to see the things I've animated, like the arm, it lags a lot and doesn't play the video like it should. What should I do? I'm gonna post a photo of the project here:

While working out timing for your animation,  set the Composition Resolution to Half and set the Preview to skip 1 frame.  If that still lags, set the Composition Resolution to Quarter.

In your screenshot, your Composition Resolution is set to Auto, indicated by "Full" in parenthesis as "(Full)".  While the Composition Resolution is set to Auto, you can change the Magnification to 50% and the Resolution will change to half with it.

When you need to evaluate image qualtiy rather than timing, set the Comp Resolution back to 100% while the Magnification is at 100%.
