When moving the current time indicator, a TIFF image disappears. Everything else animates...

Hi,

I'm new-ish to AE and using a tutorial on LinkenIn Learning. Everything was going along well until it came time to animate a TIFF image. When placed in the timeline, I can see it, but when I advance the current time indicator that image disappears.

I'm on an iMac Pro with the current version of the software. I know I must be missing something obvious, can anyone tell me what it is?

Thank you,

You have imported your Tiff as an image sequence and it is only one frame long. Import it again and pay close attention to the options. Make sure import as a sequence is not checked.

It also looks like you have set the composition background to a creme color. If you want a colored background to add a solid or a shape layer at the bottom. Only a few codecs will render the Composition background color because changing the comp background color does not create any solid pixels and alpha channels are almost always 100% black when rendered to an RBG codec like H.264 MP4.
