Hello.
i just edited a video in Adobe after effect and i started rendering it in adobe media enconder.
i am waiting for it to be done but it takes so long time! its only a 4 min video! what can i do to make it faster??
btw its after effect CS6
btw. its been saying 3 hours for like 8 hours now.
thank you for the help!
4 minute video is a very long duration for an app like Ae and hours of render sounds reasonable. From the preview I am guessing it's an effect like audio spectrum which can be resource intensive in combination with other effects as well. You are compressing to F4v (are you sure you need this format?) so this means even longer time for render.
if you are using Cs6, I suggest you export from Ae to H.264 format - it will render faster than AME. Other than that without examining your project thorough

What are the complete computer specs, including hard drives, (how many, what kind, what is on each, and how full)?

Other than that without examining your project thoroughly, it's hard to guess if there's a way to optimize it for faster render. Adobe has a few resources in the help files for optimizing project so make sure you read about it.

thanks for the answer.
i usually export it to H.264 but it takes just as long time to render. i've rendered longer videos before with same effects in way less time on my old pc. and that was a worse pc.
but ill look into it more. thanks again

How long did it get to get where it is in the screenshot? The estimated time remaining is calculated under the assumption that remaining frames are the same as the current frame That means if there is a segment of your video where frames take multiple minutes to render, AME will assume the remaining frames are the same and the ETR could jump up while those frames are being rendered.
But as Roei said there could be many factors like poor optimization, not really knowing about render setting and computationally intensive assets & effects. From the thumbnail it looks like you are using some very high resolution images as well as at least one lens flare effect and an audio spectrum.
Looks like a cool video though. I see alot of them on Youtube...A cool techno beat with an audio spectrum...awesome.

hello. i let it render until it said 10 hours. but it was still around the 3 hours mark. so i stopped the rendering.
and yes. its a pretty high resolution picture and effects. i guess ill look into render setting a bit more
and thank you so much
and thanks for the help
