No ability to create a color palette in After Effects anymore

Having removed the ability to create a color palette inside the software is A HUGE mis-step for the software, it borederline feels like a bad joke. Saving color and palettes is such a basic functionality of any creative software... but we are now forced to go outside of the software to create a palette and then import it?

PLEASE, re-introduce a functional color swatch tool INSIDE after effects that does not require us to go elsewhere to create it and then import it.

Hi @jessestormer

Creating and saving color palettes in-app is definitely a great feature request. Unfortunately, support for the Kuler panel was discontinued by that team so we had to remove it. 😞

Our current workflow revolves around Libraries. You can make new palettes in https://color.adobe.com/ or from the Adobe Capture App and then access those swatches from within the Libraries panel. Screen Shot 2024-03-08 at 12.45.03 PM.png

Thanks,

I'd also recommend Motion 4 for storing color palettes. It also allows for quickly swapping Fill and Stroke Colors, which is sorely lacking from the Properties Panel and the toolbar.
