after effects 17.1 GPU render Metal bug Dynamic Link

I have a 5 second AF composition via Dynamic Link to Premiere Pro.  Both the latest release.  

sending a sequence from PP to AF using dynamic link.   doing some mocha pro etc... adding insert layers and some roto.  

With PP and AF both open.  In AF if I add sequence to render in AF using GPU/metal it takes 9 minutes.  using CPU a lot I can see on my CPU monitor widget.

With PP closed and just AF open.  the same render using GPU/metal takes 50 seconds.   

I have not tried render and replace inside PP yet.  I never liked that before.  always seems slower.  

But the GPU acceleration is great.
