After Effects Serial Number

For some reason After Effects CC 2014 won't work on my computer, so I'm thinking about just getting CC. If I buy CC 2014 will the serial number still work on CC.

There are no serial numbers for CC products, regardless of what version. You simply sign in. If you have a redemption code read this:

If you have a Creative Cloud membership, you have the ability to download and use any version of the application from CS6 onward.

What problem are you having with the most recent version, though?
