Hey helpful people!
So I am trying to export a starry night sky that I created in After Effects.
It is a long-exposure picture of a night sky full of stars.
I have gotten rid of a bunch of the stars through a curves layer bring the luminesce way down.
On top of my base star layer, I have a duplicate layer with even less stars due to a harsher curves effect (plus a glow effect).
This is Luma matted to a fractal noise layer directly above. This gives a twinkling effect.
HOWEVER, when I go to export this twinkling sky...my curves layers apparently disappear!
And all my stars come back!!
(Pictures attached.)
I have tried every different possible export setting to get it to export as it looks in the timeline, but to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this to render out different than I made it to look?
Thank you for any help or ideas! I'm baffled...

Hi,
Did you try exporting using Quick Time and 'Animation' ?
can you send a screenshot of your timeline ? and the effects used ?

I definitely tried using animation, in a Quicktime wrapper.
Attached are screenshots of timeline and the effects used, as requested.

Have you checked that you are not working in Fast Draft mode? Make sure to view your comp at 100% and Best quality, full resolution. Another thing to check is the bit depth. is your comp 8-bit? 16-bit? 32-bit? Are you rendering the same bit depth as the project?
