files are rendering without video

On any project I am exporting, the file does not have an video and only the visual effects that I add. I am in an intro summer class, we are working on basic sign replacement.

I have tried relinking the files and even putting in new video.

I am on a mac and the files are stored on my ssd.

Without any actual info on the project structure, the natiure of the source files, render settings etc. we can't really tell you much. the most likely cause are the usual issues with hardware acceleration, so start by reverting to software-only rendering modes.
