I bought  AF template and I did not see that it was version Cs5 or Cs6 and I have the version AF2021 and I get this message After effects: this project must be converted from the version (windows 64) the original file will not change and I cannot modify nothing in the template can help me

There is a tricky way if you have some old versions of After Effects like CC 2014, CC 2015. You open the template by the old version of After Effects and then you open it by a newer version. You repeat this process.

Just to clarify, it does create a new project file? And you can't edit it? So can you do anything in this new project?
