Agree with Angie. Without knowing the rest of the specifics like driver versions, general configuration and so on these values are pretty much meaningless, even more so since all RTX-based cards seem to require a lot of tweaking to even get used properly in AE due to how their system architecture is built. I'm sure you could find other tests where users with an 3080  who actually took the time to figure out correct settings and driver versions will outperform the 2080. Anyway, for AE most of this is a moot point to begin with. It's not like even under the best conditions any of those cards would ever be maxed out, given how limited hardware acceleration in AE is overall.

Don't mind those "scores" if you don't know the test system and test circumstances. And don't fix yourself on GPU, since AE does most of its calculation on CPU.

For real world benchmarks and recommendation, have a look at PugetSystems:

whoops! Wasn't meant as an answer to Mylenium, but OP - sorry!

Actually this is not strictly true, After Effects uses a lot of GPU acceleration so GFX card is important. However its not using the multiple cores to their best ability so paying for a higher spec with fewer cores will give you a better performance than a lower spec with multiple cores (as a general rule)

After Effects is multi-threaded but its doesn't do multi-frame rendering. It used to be there were instabilities and rendering issues that made it too unreliable.

CPU is very important too. For example, ypou might want to look at a threadripper which allows you to use several, cheaper graphics cards in tandem, rather than buying one top-end card. These are cheaper and easier to get hold of.

It's the "Super" version with "Max Q design", not the standard graphics card. And the processor also affects speed as do the thread number, RAM etc. There are so many variables. It makes it very hard to know which card is the best for your workkflow. I recommend going to a specialist dealer, telling them your workflow and asking them to recommend a system for you.
